In 1982 I wandered into an upholstery shop quite by accident. Immediately I knew I could do this, and I would love it. I wasn't wrong. I started out working for another upholsterer and in 1986 I started doing slipcovers in my own home. 1987 found me renting a very humble shop on Terminal Drive. Eventually I purchased that shop and land. 1999 was the year I added the addition. This gave us so much more room and light to work in, and enabled expansion into window treatments and blinds. I love the challenge and creative aspect of the drapes. My second favorite thing to do is button tufted furniture. My favorite thing to do is to find just the right fabric to suit individual tastes and needs.
Tammy started working here in the spring of 2002. She came to us with a background of owning her own custom embroidery business.
Reupholstering furniture satisfies Tammys' creative side. She loves to take a piece of furniture right down to the frame, building up the padding and always thinking one or two steps ahead.
Tammy is also quite adept in the showroom, filling in for me to help you in your fabric choices.
Lena started working here at the beginning of 2013. Lena came here from Georgia (The country not the state) and brought with her an old world style attention to detail and crafsmenship. She quickly became adept at sewing pillows, cushions and custom crafted slipcovers. Lena loves her job and hates to go home with an unfinished project on the table.
Toni came to us in the fall of 2013 to help out in the showroom as well as in- home consultations. Toni brings years of valuable experience with blinds and window treatments. She can help you find just the right window covering for your situation. Please call today and arrange for an in-home consultation.
Hunter is here most days and is very well behaved. He has his own fan base that are dissapointed if he isn't here. Don't worry he never gets on the customers furniture. He does love to nap on his own sofa in our well lit showroom and on sunny days this is how he naps. If he makes you nervous or allergic, let us know and we'll make sure he stays home.
Ric has been doing the furniture pick ups and deliveries since 2010.
He started installing blinds and draperies at that time as well.
If he spends too much time out on an install, it is either because you have a dog for him to play with or he found a life connection. He loves to talk to people and loves it even more when he can find the life connections.
